Under the 3,000 lbs load of a Jumbo Sheet, the glass edge acts like a knife, slicing through soft rubber and making contact with the steel frame. Our solution is the Steel-Core Rubber Profile. We don't use glue. The rubber is reinforced with an internal steel plate and mechanically fastened to the Q235 steel frame with self-tapping screws. This ensures the protective layer never shifts, peels, or compresses to failure, protecting your high-value Laminated Glass and Custom Shower Enclosures.
