Heavy load capacity racks for stone bundles

Is your stone yard still trusting $5,000 granite bundles to rotting wood A-frames?

Stop the cycle of slab breakage and constant frame repair. Switch to industrial-grade, Q235 steel L-racks designed to handle the crushing weight of 3cm quartz and marble without flinching.

The "Domino Effect" in Stone Storage: Why Standard Racks Fail

In the stone fabrication industry, gravity is your enemy. A single bundle of 3cm granite slabs can weigh upwards of 3,000 lbs. Standard light-duty racking or traditional wooden A-frames often suffer from structural fatigue unseen to the naked eye until it's too late. When a wooden support rots from yard moisture or a weak weld snaps under dynamic load during forklift transport, the result is a catastrophic "domino effect" that destroys thousands of dollars in inventory instantly.

The solution isn't just "more metal"—it's engineering. Our Heavy duty glass rack architecture has been re-engineered for the stone industry. Utilizing Q235 carbon structural steel with fully seam-welded joints (never spot-welded), these racks provide a rigid 90° vertical support that eliminates the flex responsible for slab cracking.

Solving the "Chipped Edge" Nightmare

Every stone fabricator knows the sound of a polished edge hitting bare metal. It’s the sound of lost profit. Whether you are handling marble, quartzite, or engineered stone, the contact point between the slab and the rack is critical.

Unlike generic racks that use glued-on foam that peels off after a week in the rain, we utilize a Steel-Core Rubber Profile system.

Logistics Logic: The Nesting Advantage

If you are shipping bundles to job sites or distributors, return freight on empty A-frames kills your margins. Traditional A-frames are bulky air-shippers.

Our L-Shape design features a calculated geometric offset in the base. This allows empty racks to nest inside one another (like shopping carts) or stack in an inverted "clam-shell" pattern.

The Impact: You can fit up to 98 empty racks in a single 40HQ container or standard flatbed. This reduces your reverse logistics costs by over 70% compared to non-stackable wooden or welded A-frames. It turns your Glass A frame racks for sale budget into a long-term asset investment.

Engineered for the Stone Yard Workflow

Your forklift operators need to move fast. We designed these racks with reinforced forklift channels (180x80mm rectangular tubes) that allow for safe 4-way entry. Whether you are loading a flatbed for a commercial project or moving slabs to the bridge saw, the rack remains stable.

Furthermore, for job sites requiring crane offloading, we integrate 4 lifting lugs at the top of the structure. This allows for safe overhead lifting without the risk of the rack twisting—a common failure point in cheaper alternatives.

Frequently Asked Questions (Stone Industry Edition)

1. Can these racks handle the weight of 3cm Granite slabs?

Absolutely. Our heavy-duty models are rated for 1.5 to 4 tons (approx 3,300 - 8,800 lbs). The main vertical columns are made from thick-walled (2.5mm-3.0mm) Q235 steel square tubes designed specifically for high-density loads like stone and Flat glass transport racks.

2. Will the rack rust if left in my outdoor slab yard?

For outdoor stone yards, we recommend our Hot-Dip Galvanized finish. This provides a metallurgical bond that prevents rust for 10-20 years, even in wet climates. For indoor warehouse use, our Electrostatic Powder Coating (RAL 5010) offers excellent durability.

3. How do I secure the stone slabs to prevent them from sliding?

The rack base is designed with a 3-5° inward tilt to use gravity to keep slabs against the backrest. Additionally, the frame includes integrated anchor hooks. We supply heavy-duty ratchet straps to lash the bundle firmly to the structure during transport.

4. Can I store Jumbo Size slabs (130" x 80") on these?

Yes. While our standard export size is 1600mm long, we manufacture a "Big Slab" version (2032mm / 80 inches height) specifically for Jumbo quartz and granite slabs. We can customize the length and height to fit your specific inventory needs.

5. My current racks have rubber glued on, and it's falling off. Is yours different?

This is a common pain point. We do not use glue. We use a proprietary Steel-Core Rubber Profile that is mechanically fastened with self-tapping screws. The internal steel plate prevents the stone edge from slicing through the rubber, and the screws ensure it never detaches, regardless of weather or friction.
