Industrial glass transport pallet with EPDM rubber lining

Collapsible Glass Storage Transport Rack overview

Stop compromising your Low-E glass and IGUs with subpar protection. In the glass fabrication industry, edge faults caused by worn-out timber dunnage or cheap foam are the silent profit killers. Our Industrial glass transport pallet integrates a steel-reinforced EPDM lining that guarantees zero metal-to-glass contact, while the collapsible design slashes your reverse logistics costs by 80%. Secure your assets from the tempering furnace to the job site.

Why EPDM Lining is Non-Negotiable for High-Value Glass

In the world of wholesale glass fabrication, standard rubber strips or glued-on foam pads often fail under the weight of heavy granite slabs or multi-layered architectural glass. Once that soft layer tears, your glass rests directly on steel, leading to catastrophic edge shelling or stress cracks during transport.

The Agrack glass transport pallet solves this with a heavy-duty, 10mm thick EPDM rubber lining. Unlike standard options, this lining features an internal steel plate insert. It is mechanically fastened with self-threading pins, not glue. This means the rubber will never peel off, even when sliding heavy packs of 19mm tempered glass. It provides a permanent, high-friction buffer that absorbs road vibration and prevents the dreaded "glass-on-metal" contact.

The Economics of Logistics: Solved by Collapsibility

For window manufacturers and glaziers, the biggest operational inefficiency is often "shipping air." Delivering IGUs or curtain walls to a construction site is profitable; trucking empty A-frames back to the factory is a pure cost drain.

Our Collapsible Glass Storage Transport Rack is engineered to change this ratio. Once the glass is offloaded at the job site, the side columns fold down in seconds using a smart slide-and-lock mechanism—no bolts to lose.

Vertical Stacking: Tripling Your Warehouse Density

Floor space in a glass processing plant is premium real estate. Traditional A-frames or Harp racks consume massive amounts of square footage. The window storage rack system utilizes verticality to reclaim that space.

Designed with robust Q235 steel stacking feet and precision alignment pins, these racks allow for safe stacking up to 3 levels high when fully loaded (up to 4,400 lbs / 2000kg per rack). This capability essentially triples your storage capacity without expanding your facility's footprint. Whether you are curing insulated glass units (IGU) or storing finished window walls for export, vertical stacking is the key to organized, high-throughput operations.

Engineered for Handling Versatility

Glass shops and construction sites rarely use the exact same equipment. A rack that works in your automated factory must also work on a muddy job site with a crane. We designed the glass transport pallet with universal compatibility in mind:

1. Forklift Ready

The base features integrated 2-way or optional 4-way forklift channels, reinforced to prevent bending even when the rack is loaded with heavy stone slabs or thick laminated glass packs.

2. Crane Compatible

Heavy-duty lifting eyelets are welded to the corners, allowing for safe overhead lifting via gantry cranes in the factory or tower cranes at the installation site.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can this rack handle the weight of granite or marble slabs?
Yes. While primarily designed for glass, the glass transport pallet is rated for heavy loads (up to 4,400 lbs / 2000kg). The steel-reinforced rubber lining is specifically chosen to resist the crushing weight of stone slabs without compressing or tearing.

2. Does the EPDM rubber mark or stain Low-E coatings?
No. We use high-grade, non-marking EPDM rubber. It is chemically stable and designed to be compatible with sensitive glass coatings, preventing the chemical reactions sometimes seen with cheap PVC or recycled rubber pads.

3. How many folded racks fit in a standard truck?
For international shipping, a 40HQ container holds 112 folded units. For domestic flatbed transport, the high stacking ratio (up to 11 units high when empty) significantly reduces the number of trips required to return empty racks to your facility.

4. Can the dimensions be customized for oversized jumbo glass?
Absolutely. While we have standard sizes (e.g., for 60" x 96" or similar), as a manufacturer, we can adjust the length, width, and height of the Collapsible Glass Storage Transport Rack to accommodate Jumbo sizes or specific manufacturing line requirements.

5. Is the rack suitable for outdoor storage?
Yes. The standard finish is a durable powder coating. However, for glass fabricators storing inventory outdoors in humid climates, we highly recommend our Hot-Dip Galvanized option, which provides superior long-term rust protection.
