For glass fabricators and logistics managers, the "hidden tax" of reverse logistics and edge damage is a profit killer. Stop shipping air on return trips and eliminate the risk of shelling caused by warped wood or failing glue. Our Foldable A-Frame Glass Rack system is engineered with Q235 steel and mechanically fixed rubber to secure your high-value Low-E and laminated units from the tempering furnace to the construction site. |
In the summer months, inside a standard shipping container or a closed truck trailer, temperatures can easily exceed 50°C (122°F). If your current stillages rely on industrial adhesive to hold the rubber buffer pads, you are sitting on a ticking time bomb. Glue degrades, rubber peels, and eventually, your premium double-silver Low-E glass scrapes directly against the bare steel frame.
We eliminated this failure point. Our Heavy-duty glass transport rack uses a steel-cored flat rubber strip system. Instead of adhesive, we use self-threading pins to mechanically anchor the rubber directly into the Q235 steel tube. This ensures that even under the friction of 1,500kg loads or extreme thermal cycling, the protective layer remains immovable. No metal-to-glass contact means zero edge shelling and no coating scratches.
Mechanically fixed rubber strips with self-threading pins prevent delamination.
The fixed welded A-frame is the enemy of efficient logistics. Once the glass is offloaded at the glazier's site, you are forced to dedicate the same amount of truck space to return empty steel cages. It destroys your transport ROI.
The Zmgrack Collapsible Glass Stillage changes the math. By removing the crossbeams and pulling the safety pins, the A-frame uprights fold down flush with the base. We achieve a 5:1 stacking density ratio.
This allows you to slash reverse logistics costs by up to 80%, turning a cost center into a competitive advantage.
Fully collapsed unit ready for high-density stacking.
Loading docks and construction sites are chaotic. A forklift driver missing the center of gravity by a few inches can cause a fully loaded rack to tip, resulting in catastrophic loss of the glass and potential OSHA violations.
We engineer safety directly into the chassis. Our base features full-length, enclosed forklift guides tailored to your specific tine dimensions and center distance. This forces the operator to engage the rack at its precise physical center, eliminating tipping risks during rapid loading. For sites using overhead cranes or spider cranes, the open-top design allows vacuum lifters to access the glass without obstruction from top bracing bars.
Engineered forklift pockets ensure centered lifting and prevent tipping.
Are you purchasing different racks for your standard 2.4m sheets and your 6m oversized curtain wall profiles? That is capital inefficiency.
The Zmgrack utilizes an open-ended design without vertical side stops. While the physical footprint is a compact 2200mm, the Demountable A-Frame Rack safely supports lengths of 3.7m, 5m, or even 6m+. The load is distributed evenly across the angled uprights, allowing longer units to hang freely over the ends without structural interference. One rack type covers 90% of your production needs.
Open-ended design supports oversized lengths well beyond the base footprint.
1. What is the maximum Static Load Capacity for the Zmgrack?
The system is rated for a Static Load Capacity of 1,500kg (3,300 lbs). The Q235 carbon steel frame is engineered with a strict tolerance range to minimize deflection, ensuring safety even when fully loaded with heavy laminated or thick float glass.
2. Can this rack handle "Jumbo" size glass sheets?
Yes. Thanks to the open-ended geometry, glass sheets longer than the rack's 2200mm base (such as 3.7m or 6m curtain wall units) can be stored safely with the ends overhanging, provided the center of gravity is balanced.
3. Will the rubber strips leave marks on soft-coat Low-E glass?
No. We use a specially formulated flat rubber strip that is mechanically fixed with sunken steel pins. This prevents the "rubber migration" and glue residue often seen with inferior pads, protecting delicate soft-coat Low-E layers from chemical contamination or scratches.
4. How many empty racks can fit in a standard shipping container?
In a standard 40HQ container, you can load approximately 60 folded Zmgrack units. This high-density nesting capability is the key to reducing your reverse logistics and international freight costs.
5. Is the surface treatment suitable for outdoor storage?
Standard units come with a durable Electrostatic Spraying (Powder Coating). However, for coastal glazing projects or long-term outdoor storage exposed to salt spray, we recommend our Hot-Dip Galvanizing option for superior corrosion resistance.
