Your Low-E coating is too valuable to scratch. |
In the glass deep-processing industry, the difference between profit and loss often lies in the handling. A single scratch on a soft-coat Low-E sheet or an edge chip on a tempered panel can reject an entire unit. Generic warehouse racking simply cannot accommodate the unique physics of flat glass.
Your facility handles everything from raw wholesale float glass to complex curved toughened glass. You need a system that integrates with your glass tempering furnace workflow and ensures your insulated glass units (IGUs) arrive at the construction site intact.
Optimized shop floor: Utilizing A-Frames for WIP buffer storage between cutting and edging stations.
When dealing with high-performance architectural glass, the steel structure must never touch the glass surface. Our Heavy-Duty A-Frame Racks are engineered with a dedicated protection system.
We utilize industrial-grade rubber profiles and composite timber layers on all contact surfaces. This is critical for preventing delamination in heavy laminated glass stacks and ensuring that the sensitive metal oxide layers on Low-E glass remain pristine during internal transfer.
High-density rubber cushioning designed to protect Low-E coatings and prevent edge chipping.
How much time do your operators waste waiting for the overhead crane? By integrating mobile A-frame trolleys into your line, you transform static storage into a dynamic workflow.
Equipped with heavy-duty nylon or polyurethane casters, these racks allow a single operator to move processed glass from the glass washing machine directly to the laminating line buffer zone. This reduces dependency on forklifts and cranes, effectively smoothing out production peaks and troughs.
Heavy-duty casters enable smooth manual transfer of heavy glass sheets across the factory floor.
For glass exporters and regional distributors, shipping empty steel air is a financial drain. Traditional welded racks consume immense container volume.
Our detachable (knock-down) Glass Transport Racks solve this. They can be stacked densely when empty or during return logistics. This design allows you to fit significantly more units into a standard shipping container, drastically lowering the freight cost per rack. When they arrive, they are bolted together to form a rigid structure capable of holding tons of granite slabs or glass packs.
Maximize your container load: 20 sets of detachable racks stacked efficiently for shipping.
Safety on the job site is paramount for glazing contractors. An unsecured load of heavy glass is a lethal hazard.
We integrate a robust cargo securing system featuring lateral limit rods and high-tension ratchet straps. This system compresses the glass pack against the A-frame, preventing shifting during truck transit or when navigating rough terrain at the construction site. It ensures your team is safe from the "fall shadow" when unloading.
Integrated ratchet straps ensure total load stability during transport to the installation site.
1. Can these racks handle the weight of 19mm thick granite slabs or heavy laminated glass?
Yes. Our racks are manufactured using full seam welding (not spot welding) on Q235 industrial steel. They are engineered to bear the high density of stone and multi-layer laminated glass without structural deformation.
2. How do you prevent rust when used in outdoor stone yards or wet glass cutting areas?
For wet environments or outdoor storage, we recommend our Hot-Dip Galvanized finish. This provides a metallurgical bond that protects the steel from corrosion for decades, far superior to standard paint.
3. Are the rubber profiles compatible with soft-coat Low-E glass?
Absolutely. We use specific hardness rubber compounds designed to provide grip and cushioning without abrading sensitive soft coatings, ensuring your glass remains defect-free.
4. Can the mobile racks be moved by hand when fully loaded?
Depending on the total weight, yes. For lighter loads (like single glass sheets), one or two operators can maneuver the rack. For full packs of heavy glass, the casters are designed to support the load, but a tugger or forklift assistance is recommended for safety.
5. Do you offer custom sizes for jumbo sheets or specific CNC machine heights?
Yes, as a manufacturer, we can customize the dimensions (length, width, and height) to perfectly match your specific glass sizes or the intake height of your vertical washing machines and edging lines.
