In the glass processing world, from the exit roller of the glass tempering furnace to the final glazing site, vibration is the enemy. Traditional wooden A-frames or stitch-welded light-duty racks allow for micro-flexing during truck transport. 1. Can this rack handle the weight of 19mm Jumbo laminated glass sheets?
Yes. The Zmgrack is rated for a static load capacity of 1500kg (approx 3300 lbs). The Q235 steel construction and full seam welding are specifically designed to handle the density of heavy architectural glass and laminated stacks without structural deflection.
2. Will the rubber pads leave residue on soft-coat Low-E glass?
No. We use high-grade, non-marking rubber compounds that are mechanically fixed (screwed) rather than glued. This prevents adhesive migration onto the glass surface, protecting your Low-E coatings from contamination and scratches.
3. How many empty racks can I fit in a return shipment?
Thanks to the foldable design, you can stack empty racks with a 5:1 ratio compared to assembled ones. For international shipping, a 40HQ container can accommodate up to 60 sets of our folded Collapsible Glass Stillage.
4. My window frames are 6 meters long, but the rack is only 2.2 meters. Is this compatible?
Absolutely. The Zmgrack features an open-ended structure with no vertical side obstructions. Long oversized items, such as 6-meter curtain wall units or window frames, can sit securely on the rack with the excess length overhanging naturally, supported by the angled uprights.
5. Is the rack compatible with vacuum lifters and overhead cranes?
Yes. While the base allows for forklift and pallet jack entry, the open top design ensures full clearance for overhead cranes equipped with vacuum glass lifters or slings to load and unload glass sheets safely without physical interference from the rack structure.
