1. Can these racks safely hold Soft-Coated Low-E glass without scratching?
Yes. We use specific industrial rubber compounds and composite plywood layers designed to contact the glass face without abrasion. This protects the sensitive silver layer of Low-E coatings from scratches that lead to oxidation.
2. What is the Weight Loading Capacity (SWL) for a standard A-frame?
Our standard heavy-duty models are engineered to handle between 3,000 lbs to 6,000 lbs depending on the configuration (static vs. mobile). We can customize reinforcement for handling heavier stacks of granite or thick laminated glass blocks.
3. Are the casters suitable for rough factory floors with glass shards?
We recommend high-durability Polyurethane or Nylon casters for glass factories. They resist embedding small glass chips (which can cause wheel lock-up) and roll smoothly over expansion joints to prevent vibration damage to the glass.
4. Can I use the same rack for both transport and storage?
Absolutely. Our racks feature forklift pockets for transport and crane eyes for lifting. The detachable models are ideal for shipping finished IGUs to construction sites and then being broken down for cheap return shipping.
