A folding steel box, not a fixed cage

This folding steel box is a storage cart designed to hold loose, heavy, or mixed parts in a single transportable, stackable, returnable unit handled by forklift.

È meglio intesa come una platform for folding steel boxes, not as a single fixed SKU. The base box uses tubular steel corner posts and a welded mesh body — the posts are what make it more rigid and suitable for larger sizes and higher stacking than a simple wire mesh container. When full, a forklift or pallet truck moves the entire box; when empty, the side posts are removed and the box folds down onto a low panel for return transport and storage. (Note: “hamster cage” is an outdated inaccurate term — the correct names are folding steel box or storage cart.)

This folding steel box adds tubular steel corner posts to the wire mesh body. The posts make it more rigid and more suitable for larger sizes and higher stacking than a simple wire mesh container. Loads are not directly comparable between the two.
Quali sono le dimensioni e il carico standard?
The base box measures 1100×885×950 mm external, ~70 kg empty, 4,000 kg static / 2,000 kg dynamic (verified base box data). Other sizes and loads are parametri di progetto derived from specific drawings — we confirm exact figures based on your final design, not as a universal rating.
How high can it be stacked and how do I move it?
Loaded boxes stack on their column locators; the safe number of layers depends on the specific design, load, center of gravity, and floor — we specify per project. Movement is by forklift or pallet truck at the base; braked castors are an option for in-plant picking.
Quali finiture e personalizzazioni sono disponibili?
Powder coating, cold galvanizing, or hot-dip galvanizing; color according to RAL. The body can be mesh or steel sheet; lid, partial/full/removable drop gate, castors, stacking feet, and racking base are all configurable based on use.
When should I NOT choose a folding steel box?
If you only need a standard low-cost cage with no special size or stacking requirements, consider a simple wire mesh container first. If goods must be fully enclosed / dust-proof, consider the sheet steel version with lid rather than mesh. If the main need is light manual picking, an ergonomic castor variant suits better than a heavy base box.
