Part names of wire mesh pallets (mesh boxes)
(1) Mesh pitch: The distance between the steel pieces. 50 x 50 mm means the steel pieces are arranged in a grid at 50 mm intervals, while 50 x 100 mm is also available. These are generally cheaper than those with a tighter mesh pitch due to the greater distance and lower amount of steel used. However, the load capacity is reduced.
(2) Wire diameter: The diameter of the steel. If the wire diameter is 6.0 mm, the diameter of the woven steel is 6 mm. The larger the wire diameter, the greater the load capacity, but also the weight of the product. The most common diameter is around 6 mm.
(3) Door: The front part of the wire mesh pallet. Doors can be folded down even when pallets are stacked on top of each other. Depending on the size of the goods to be stored, it may be possible to remove the contents of the pallets while they are stacked. In rare cases, the doors do not open.
(4) Legs: The legs of wire mesh pallets. Some pallets have grooves in the bottom of the legs. This prevents wire mesh pallets from shifting when stacked on top of each other. Even if the bottom of the pallets has grooves, they may not be stackable due to load capacity.
