Part designations of mesh pallets (mesh boxes)
(1) Mesh spacing: The distance between the steel elements. 50 x 50 mm means that the steel elements are arranged in a grid with 50 mm spacing, while 50 x 100 mm is also available. These are usually cheaper than those with tighter mesh spacing because the spacing is larger and less steel is used. However, the load capacity is lower.
(2) Wire diameter: The diameter of the steel. If the wire diameter is 6.0 mm, the diameter of the interwoven steel is 6 mm. The larger the wire diameter, the higher the load capacity, but also the weight of the product. The most common diameter is around 6 mm.
(3) Door: The front side of the mesh pallet. The doors can also be folded when the pallets are stacked on top of each other. Depending on the size of the goods to be stored, it may be possible to remove the contents of the pallets while they are stacked. In rare cases, the doors do not open.
(4) Legs: The legs of the mesh pallets. Some pallets have grooves on the underside of the legs. This prevents the mesh pallets from slipping when stacked on top of each other. Even if the underside of the pallets has grooves, they may not be stackable due to load capacity.
