What a multi-size rack can do – and what it cannot

01

Smaller motorcycles can share the larger enclosure

If the smaller sport motorcycle remains within the confirmed usable length, width, and height, it can be stored in a rack designed for the largest motorcycle. However, additional clearance does not replace the need for wheel positioning and tie-down checks.

02

Measure the complete motorcycle

Send the overall length, maximum width, overall height, wheelbase, wheel position, and weight of the largest model. Handlebar width, accessories, and loading angle can affect the practical fit.

03

Choose capacity to match the fleet

The referenced projects are not identical: the documented load capacities range from 350 kg to 500 kg. Choose the load-bearing basis according to the heaviest motorcycle and the planned handling conditions.

04

Know when customization is required

Motorcycles above the documented enclosure, unusually wide handlebars, greater height, non-standard tie-down requirements, or special container clearances require technical review. Mtrack does not guarantee compatibility for arbitrary sizes.

A practical sizing process for dealers, clubs, and collectors

1

Identify the largest model

Use the motorcycle with the greatest overall length, width, height, and the highest weight as the sizing reference – not the average motorcycle.

2

Specify the actual enclosure

Provide the dimensions with mirrors, handlebars, cases, or other accessories that remain mounted during storage and loading.

3

Align the handling plan

Confirm forklift access, stacking height, container clearance, loading direction, and the required tie-down arrangement.

4

Check the drawing

We confirm whether a documented version is suitable or whether length, height, load capacity, or folding details need to be adjusted.

Questions before standardizing on one rack size

Can one Mtrack rack accommodate both a 2,410 mm Harley and a small sport motorcycle?

It can be designed to make this possible if both the small sport motorcycle and the Harley fit within the confirmed usable enclosure. The 2,410 mm case is a documented project reference; it is not an automatic approval for every Harley, every sport motorcycle, or every accessory configuration.

What is the longest motorcycle covered by the documented versions?

The referenced versions cover lengths up to 2,380–2,410 mm and widths up to 1,000 mm. The values 2,410 mm and 2,380 mm belong to different project versions, so the final size must be checked against your largest model.

Why is the Matthew Stuebe size referred to as a general size?

The project used documented external dimensions of 2,320 × 1,050 × 1,400 mm for a collection of over 200 motorcycles with different dimensions. It was selected around this customer's largest model and should not be regarded as a universal Mtrack size.

When should I request a custom rack?
