Was eine Einweg-Holzkiste pro Sendung wirklich kostet

Where the reusable rack changes the equation
Mtrack is a steel pallet for motorcycles, not a catalog item with a model number. Wheel trough, ramps, front wheel positioning or clamping, U-shaped strap hooks, fork entry in two or four directions, and stackable posts are configured based on your motorcycle dimensions, your forklift, and your container or trailer limits. It is precisely this configuration that makes reuse practical: the rack positions the same motorcycle in the same way on cycle 1 and on cycle 40.
Empty running is the point at which a fixed rack would lose the case. With folding posts, plug-in mounts, or a folding plus a removable side, the loaded rack goes out as a complete unit and comes back as a base plus bundled posts. In a documented project, 12 empty racks could be nested in a 2,490 mm high column. That is a project result, not a standard size, but it shows that the return trip can be planned and does not create a wall of empty crates.
- The rack is reused: the same unit takes on the next motorcycle, the next container, the next season.
- The empty return trip is planned by design: folding or pull-out mounts turn the height into a compact base stack.
- Handling is reproducible: fork openings, wheel position, and strap points remain identical from cycle to cycle.
- Damage is inspectable: posts, bolts, welds, and base elements can be checked and repaired, unlike a crushed panel.
How many racks fit: 40HQ and 20ft values that change with the project

| Kostenposition | Einweg-Holzkiste | Wiederverwendbares Stahl-Motorradgestell |
|---|---|---|
| Beschaffungsmodell | Bei jeder Sendung neu gekauft | Eine Investitionseinheit, in jedem Zyklus wiederverwendet |
| Referenzpreisbasis | Etwa CNY 90 pro Quadratmeter Platte | Pro Gestell gemäß freigegebener Zeichnung kalkuliert |
Documented project payloads sit at 250, 350 or 500 kg per pallet, subject to a design review, and the reference tare moves between 70 and 108 kg. Those ranges exist because the rack is engineered, not selected from a list. Your payload, layer count and finish are fixed in the drawing, and any saving only becomes real afterwards — that is the honest limit of this article. How much a return trip saves depends on distance, forwarder rate, container utilisation and how many racks you can return per shipment. We will not publish a percentage we cannot substantiate for your lane.
When the wooden crate is still the right answer
A reusable rack is a closed-loop decision, and some shipments do not form a loop.
- One-way export with no return leg: nobody sends the rack back, so it becomes an expensive crate.
- Very low frequency: a single motorcycle every few years does not justify a steel asset.
- No forklift or handling partner at destination: a crate can be broken down on site, a rack needs equipment to move.
- Long unprotected storage: standing water in hollow sections can cause internal rust, so covered storage or an agreed finish is required.
If two or more of these apply, buy the crate and put the budget into protection instead. If your motorcycles come back, read on.
What to send us for a shipment-based cost concept
We calculate based on your shipping sample and not according to the price list. Send us the number of shipments per month or season, the container type you load (20ft, 40ft, 40HQ), the motorcycle dimensions and weight, whether the rack returns to you or to the dealer, the target market, and how the loaded rack must be handled at both ends.
With this information, we can dimension the rack, define the folding or removable arrangement for return transport, and confirm the container count based on the released packaging instead of guessing. Start with the folding arrangement in flat-folding motorcycle rack for cost-effective empty return, the loading plan in nestable motorcycle shipping rack for 40ft container loading or the complete configuration in all-in-one folding motorcycle rack for loading, stacking, and return logistics.
FAQ
Is a reusable motorcycle rack cheaper than a wooden crate from the first shipment?
No, and we will not claim that either. The crate is a smaller one-time invoice; the rack is an investment unit that amortizes over cycles. The break-even point depends on your shipment frequency, the number of racks you recover per return transport, and the freight rate on that route, so it is calculated on a project-specific basis.
Can you tell me exactly how many racks fit in my container before ordering?
We can commit to a number once the rack dimensions, the post or folding arrangement, the wheel stops, the packaging method, and the loading direction are defined. Documented concepts with 72 to 90 racks in a 40HQ and 28 to 56 in a 20ft show the variation these variables create, but not a commitment for your load.
What happens to the racks on the return transport?
The posts fold in, are pulled out, or one side folds in while the other is removed, so that the empty racks travel as bases plus bundled posts. In a documented project, 12 empty racks were nested in a 2,490 mm high column. The exact arrangement, stack height and return rate are agreed in the drawing before production.
