Universal-Footprint Motorcycle Rack for Varied Bike Lengths

Mtrack universal-footprint motorcycle pallet rack sized around your largest bike: recorded schemes cover 2,380–2,410 mm long and 1,000 mm wide motorcycles, plus a 2320 × 1050 × 1400 mm scheme used for a 200+ motorcycle collection. Applicability confirmed per project drawing.

One Rack Sized Around Your Longest Motorcycle

Mixed fleets rarely share one wheelbase, one handlebar width or one seat height. The practical way to cover a varied fleet is not a rack that claims every motorcycle fits — it is a rack sized around the largest motorcycle you actually store, so the smaller bikes load into the same footprint.

Recorded Mtrack schemes cover motorcycles up to 2,410 mm long and 1,000 mm wide. In one collector project, 2320 × 1050 × 1400 mm was used as the universal footprint to organize a collection of 200+ motorcycles of different sizes, with the largest motorcycle to be stored measuring 2270 × 850 × 1300 mm. Every figure on this page is a project record, not a series-wide rating: the envelope, the load and the fork details are fixed against your largest motorcycle and confirmed on the approved drawing.

  • Sized from your largest motorcycle outward, not from an average bike
  • Recorded envelopes up to 2,380–2,410 mm long and 1,000 mm wide
  • Wheel locating and strap points repeat the same loading motion for every size in the fleet
  • Rack length, width and height checked against your container, trailer or existing rack limits

500 kg scheme written around a 2,410 mm cruiser

Recorded on project 15052 for a 2024 Harley-Davidson Road Glide at 2410 mm long, 945 mm wide and 1315 mm high. The rack was drawn as 2550 × 1050 × 1316 mm with a 500 kg design load, accommodating motorcycles up to 2410 mm long and 1000 mm wide, with the bike pushed in over the ramp, strapped down, then loaded into the container by forklift.

  • Recorded outer size: 2550 × 1050 × 1316 mm, tare 93 kg
  • Recorded envelope: up to 2410 × 1000 mm
  • Recorded fork opening: 200 × 69 mm, 820 mm centre spacing
  • Plug-in posts; 12 units stacked to about 2490 mm

Foldable-base scheme for club and dealer fleets

Recorded on project 14905 for a club needing 4–12 racks, a foldable base and plug-in posts, with a two-layer stack held at or under 2500 mm total height. The rack was drawn as 2550 × 1050 × 1266 mm and accommodates motorcycles up to 2380 mm long and 1000 mm wide, with a 500 kg design load and a front-wheel locating device.

  • Recorded outer size: 2550 × 1050 × 1266 mm, tare 96 kg
  • Recorded envelope: up to 2380 × 1000 mm
  • Recorded fork opening: 200 × 69 mm, 820 mm centre spacing
  • Foldable base, plug-in posts, front-wheel locating device

Universal collector size

2320 × 1050 × 1400 mm for a 200+ motorcycle collection

Recorded on project 15385 for a collector organizing 200+ motorcycles of different sizes that were previously flat on the warehouse floor. The universal footprint drawn for that collection was 2320 × 1050 × 1400 mm with a 350 kg design load, sized to the largest motorcycle raised in the meeting at 2270 × 850 × 1300 mm — the 2320 mm length also suits container transport. Posts fold inward to cut empty and transit volume.

  • Recorded outer size: 2320 × 1050 × 1400 mm, tare 88 kg
  • Recorded envelope: up to 2270 × 850 × 1300 mm
  • Recorded fork opening: 188 × 89 mm, 685 mm centre spacing
  • Recorded loading: 35 units per 20 ft, 88 units per 40 ft high cube

One Envelope, Several Bike Lengths

1

The largest bike sets the size

A rack drawn around the longest motorcycle in the fleet accepts the shorter ones inside the same footprint. The wheel groove, ramp and strap points stay in the same places, so loading does not change from one bike to the next.

2

The envelope is confirmed, not assumed

Applicability is checked against your largest motorcycle outline — length, width, height, wheelbase, tyre size and weight — plus the overhang your site allows. A recorded 2,410 mm figure is not a promise that any motorcycle up to that length fits every configuration.

3

Bikes move as fork-handled units

Two-way or four-way fork entry is configured per project, with the opening size and centre spacing fixed on the drawing. The pallet, the motorcycle and the straps travel together instead of the bike being lifted by hand.

4

The empty leg is planned too

Where the scheme specifies it, plug-in or inward-folding posts separate from the base so empty racks store and travel compactly. Stacking layers and total height remain a project decision tied to rack structure and motorcycle height.

From Your Motorcycle List to the Approved Drawing

1

Send the largest and the smallest motorcycle

Length, width, height, wheelbase, tyre size and unit weight for both ends of your fleet, plus whether a bike may overhang the rack edge in storage or in transit.

2

Engineering sizing

The envelope is checked against the rack, the container or trailer, the aisle and any existing rack the pallet has to enter. One universal size or two sizes is a result of that check, not a starting assumption.

3

Drawing confirmation

Outer size, design load, fork opening, centre spacing, wheel locating method, strap points and post type are written into the approved drawing before anything is cut.

4

Production, packing and loading plan

Finish, packing (film and strapping, or wooden crating where you want more surface protection) and the loading count are fixed with the drawing, then re-checked on the loading plan.

Universal Footprint — What It Covers

Can one rack really take a 2,410 mm cruiser and a small sport bike?

Recorded Mtrack schemes accommodate motorcycles up to 2,380–2,410 mm long and 1,000 mm wide, and the shorter bikes in a fleet load into that same footprint using the same wheel position and strap points. This is not a claim that any motorcycle fits any rack: each envelope is confirmed against your own largest motorcycle before the drawing is released.

What happens if my largest motorcycle is longer than 2,410 mm?

That is outside the recorded project range. A longer or wider machine needs a custom envelope, and the pallet length, wheel position, load case and container loading count all have to be re-engineered rather than stretched from a standard figure.

How was the universal size chosen for a 200+ motorcycle collection?

In that project the universal footprint was 2320 × 1050 × 1400 mm with a 350 kg design load, sized around the largest motorcycle raised in the meeting at 2270 × 850 × 1300 mm. The 2320 × 1050 mm footprint also suited container transport. Those values belong to that collection; they are not a series-wide standard size.

Is 500 kg the load rating for every Mtrack pallet?

No. Recorded project design loads are 250 kg, 350 kg and 500 kg, and the value follows the structure, the rack size and the motorcycle. The applicable load is stated on your approved drawing, not taken from another project.

Can the motorcycle overhang the rack edge?

Overhang was accepted in one transport project, but it is not a default rule. Whether a bike may extend past the pallet boundary depends on your stacking, storage and container practice, and it changes the rack size and the loading count.

What do you need from me to quote a universal rack?

Your largest and smallest motorcycle envelopes and weights, the forklift direction and fork geometry, the storage or stacking policy, and the container, trailer or rack the pallet must fit. With those, the rack size, load, finish and packing can be quoted against a drawing instead of an assumption.
